Square Enix and Avalanche Partner Again!

Yet more hints have surfaced to suggest the third instalment of Just Cause is definitely on it's way, with the latest announcement from both Square Enix and Avalanche Studios that they have partnered once again... get ready for an official announcement in July!
First and foremost, they state that they are working on a groundbreaking open-world title. Both the original Just Cause and Just Cause 2 were "groundbreaking", so why not bring a third instalment to the table? What about a fourth?!
Square Enix and Avalanche Studios might have even signed a contract that would bring us not only Just Cause 3, but a fourth instalment after that! Square Enix has registered justcause4.com, as well as a number of other domains related to both Just Cause 3 and Just Cause 4. Some sources suggest this is just a defensive move in preparation for the Just Cause 3 announcement in july.
Other sources have revealed that Just Cause 3 will not only be released on the current generation of consoles next year, including PS3, Xbox 360 and PC... but has also been pegged to be one of the launch titles for the next-generation consoles set for release next year, and much like the PC release of Just Cause 2, Just Cause 3 will make full use of the Playstation 4's Nvidia technology as well as some advanced functionality in an exclusive deal.
Just Cause 3 is in development!

Although it seems to be the only source so far, a recent
Hollywood Reporter article - regarding the Just Cause Movie,
Just Cause: Scorpion Rising currently being rewritten (more details soon) - suggests that Just Cause 3 is indeed in development.
The article states, rather clearly too...
Just Cause 2 was released earlier this year and sold more than 3.5 million copies; a third game is now in development.
That seems somewhat more concrete than anything I've seen before, although I had no doubt there would be a third instalment lurking around the corner.
Christofer Sundberg, Founder/CEO of
Avalanche Studios and father of the Just Cause series, has hinted on numerous occasions that "We are absolutely interested in working with the Just Cause IP again", even suggested that fans "shouldn't be surprised" to see a third instalment.
You may have seen a lot of rumours being started surrounding Just Cause 3, the most recent of which suggesting the game is set for release next year, but this seems highly unlikely to me - given the time it took for Just Cause 2 to be developed.
Instead, it won't be long before the official announcement, which is likely to happen sometime in February.
Stay tuned folks!
